Get to Know Abby
Abigail (Abby) Williams-Baacke is a compassionate and dedicated therapist who believes in the power of healing and growth. She holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2022 and licensure as a Social Worker. Abby brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Foundations Counseling.
Abby’s professional journey is marked by diverse experiences in various settings, including mental health, school-based behavioral health, public health, medical (hospital) social work, and adventure therapy. Her extensive background has allowed her to work with individuals of all ages, ranging from as young as 5 to older adults. Abby specializes in addressing anxiety, depression, ADHD, and life transitions, utilizing her client-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach.
One distinguishing feature of Abby’s practice is being able to offer faith-based counseling, specifically within the Christian framework. She firmly believes in meeting her clients where they are and creating a safe, non-judgmental space for them to explore and work through their challenges. Abby aims to empower individuals to overcome obstacles and navigate life’s complexities with resilience and self-compassion. Driven by her genuine desire to help others, Abby chose to become a therapist to make a positive impact on people’s lives. Her warm and empathetic nature fosters a strong therapeutic alliance, allowing clients to feel supported and understood.
Outside of her professional work, Abby enjoys staying active through activities such as running, swimming, and cycling. She also finds solace in the outdoors through hiking, camping, and rock climbing. Additionally, her creative pursuits include drawing, painting, and writing. Above all, Abby cherishes spending quality time with her loved ones, embracing the power of connection and community.
