Meet Alan Gruber
Alan Gruber is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisor designation (LISW-S) in Ohio, and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Indiana. He has earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Cincinnati and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Eastern Michigan University. He has also studied Pastoral Counseling and Theology at Ashland Theological Seminary.
With over 25 years of experience, including community mental health, employee assistance and hospice, Alan enjoys working with individuals and couples that range in age from young adult to seniors. In addition to depression and anxiety, Alan specializes in grief and loss, life change and transition, aging and men’s issues.
Alan is a believer in the person-centered approach and has deep respect for the role of faith. He utilizes cognitive behavioral and solution focused techniques to untangle unhelpful thinking patterns, encourage hope and overcome life challenges.
