Get to Know Danielle
Danielle Pate has her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wright State University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She holds two bachelor’s degrees from Miami University in Psychological Science and Applied Social Research.
Danielle’s background includes an internship at Pause for Parents, Play for Kids, where she supported caregivers of children with disabilities. She also spent three years in a PreK classroom, fueling her passion for working with children in a counseling context. Danielle has lent her expertise as a tutor as well, giving her experience leading both groups and individuals.
Danielle’s therapeutic approach is client-centered, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness and strengths-based interventions. She emphasizes building rapport, teaching healthy coping skills, recognizing strengths and collaboratively identifying solutions to problems.
Her motivation to become a therapist is rooted in her family’s commitment to spreading mental health awareness, and she is dedicated to providing support and a listening ear to those in need. Danielle is open to working with clients of all ages, with a particular interest in helping teens and young adults facing challenges related to anxiety, depression and self-worth issues. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her extended family and pursuing various crafts while listening to music.
