Get to Know Jenna

Jenna Jump is a Counselor Trainee pursuing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wright State University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and an Associate of Science in American Sign Language (ASL) and Deaf Studies from Rowan University. With a background as a Registered Behavior Technician, Jenna has experience working with children with neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly autism, in preschool and home settings.

Jenna specializes in anger management, individual therapy, depression, LGBTQ+ issues, school-related challenges, and stress and anxiety. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in person-centered, humanistic, and existential counseling methodologies. She utilizes cognitive-behavioral and strengths-based techniques to empower clients, helping them recognize their potential and navigate life’s challenges. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is a priority for Jenna, as she aims to create a safe, supportive, and comforting environment for her clients.

From a young age, Jenna’s curiosity about psychology sparked her desire to work one-on-one with people. This passion for helping others and understanding their experiences has guided her career path toward becoming a therapist. She is particularly well-suited for working with the LGBTQ+ population, teens and young adults facing anxiety and depression, and adults seeking support for self-esteem and personal growth.

Outside of her professional life, Jenna enjoys reading, practicing martial arts, and playing Dungeons and Dragons. She also loves spending time outdoors with her golden retriever, taking walks to unwind and connect with nature. Jenna’s diverse interests and relatable personality allow her to connect with clients on multiple levels, providing both support and understanding as they work through their challenges.
