Get to Know Matthew
Matthew is passionate about hearing and investing in the stories of individuals from all walks of life. As a Counselor Trainee currently pursuing his master’s degree in clinical counseling, he brings a deep well of empathy and experience to his work. With over 20 years of background in hospice nursing and youth advocacy throughout the greater Cincinnati area, Matthew has walked alongside thousands of individuals and families through some of life’s most challenging and transformative moments.
Holding an associate’s degree with an emphasis in education and a bachelor’s in nursing, Matthew integrates a holistic perspective into his counseling—addressing mental, physical, spiritual, relational, and vocational well-being. For the past 12 years, he has also served as the founder and leader of a high school mentoring program, helping young men and women develop resilience and purpose as they transition into adulthood.
Matthew believes that everyone deserves someone in their corner—someone who truly listens, invests, and believes in their potential regardless of their background or circumstances. His therapeutic approach centers around Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps clients build healthier mindsets and thought patterns to support healing, personal growth, and meaningful goal-setting. Whether working with youth or adults, Matthew empowers clients to gain the awareness and strength needed to live full, whole lives amidst life’s complexities.
Outside of counseling, Matthew is a hands-on, creative soul. He enjoys playing guitar and singing, building and repairing around his family homestead, playing pickleball and weekend sports, and spending time with his family.
Walking alongside others and investing in their stories is one of Matthew’s greatest joys. He believes every life holds deep purpose and untapped potential—and he’s honored to help others uncover both.
