Meet Lisa Connor, LPCC-S
Lisa Connor is the Clinical Director at Foundations Counseling. She has her Masters in Counseling from the University of Cincinnati and obtained her LPC in 2007 followed by her LPCC in 2009 and currently holds her LPCC-S. Lisa has held numerous leadership roles including direct service provider, clinical supervisor, Associate Director and leadership on the field as a soccer coach. With years of experience, Lisa matches her counseling style best with older adults, general adults, and men and women dealing with life challenges including loss, grief, health issues, and relationship problems. Her specialties lie in assisting individuals to cope with anxiety, depression, anger problems, self-esteem issues, and grief work.
Lisa brings a multifaceted approach to how she helps her clients through their hurdles in life. She uses techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused and a client-centered approach. As a counselor, she seeks to help others reach their full potential, utilizing their strengths and internal motivation to conquer their struggles. Lisa takes pride and enjoys connecting with people and instilling hope when it seems like there is none.
When she isn’t leading the team of counselors at Foundations, Lisa enjoys being able to spend her free time outside hiking, watching her children play sports, and camping to enjoy the great outdoors. Whether she is adventuring into nature on a hiking adventure or curling up with a popular historical fiction novel, at Lisa’s core she is successful as a counselor and leader by building connections with her clients and with the team of counselors at Foundations.
