Get to Know Scott
Scott Long is an administrator for Foundations Counseling, where he helps with scheduling clients while offering support as a counselor. He has his Bachelor of Social Work with an LSW licensure from Ball State University. With a passion for continuously learning new things, Scott is a great resource for clients with his knowledge of how to help his clients best. Scott has worked in various roles and environments, giving him the invaluable experience to help others work toward their goals during therapy. Scott has a background of working as a case manager with familiarity helping individuals with disabilities, families involved in children’s services cases, and addiction counseling services.
Clients who would benefit from meeting with Scott would be those wanting help treating anxiety, depression, and bipolar. Scott uses a humanistic approach to helping clients and uses empathy to connect with those he is helping during sessions. He utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which provides an individualized approach to each individual he works with. This approach allows Scott to tailor therapy directly to the individual’s needs wherever they are in treatment.
Scott is a huge history buff and has an extensive thirst for knowledge. He enjoys keeping up with current events and global issues through reading. He is a big video game lover who likes playing games with his son, and despite being allergic, he adores all animals.
