Get to Know Tabby
Tabby is passionate about creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel empowered to navigate their own paths toward mental wellness. As a Counselor Trainee currently pursuing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wright State University, she brings warmth, creativity, and a genuine commitment to meeting clients exactly where they are.
With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Clinical Psychology, Tabby has spent the past several years working directly with diverse populations. For three years, she served as an RBT and medical insurance biller for the autism community, supporting clients ages 2 to 19 in developing social, physical, academic, and coping skills. She has also spent two years as a mental health advocate, where she supports staff wellness through informal therapy meetings, resource sharing, presentations on mental health topics, and team-building activities centered around emotional well-being. Currently completing certifications in Trauma-Informed Counseling and Mental Health First Aid, Tabby is dedicated to continuous learning and growth as a provider.
Tabby believes therapy is most effective when clients are in the driver’s seat—with her as a supportive passenger, ready to help navigate the journey. She approaches each session from a person-centered perspective, drawing on mindfulness, strengths-based, somatic, and trauma-informed approaches. Tabby loves the metaphor of building a quality mental health toolbox: exploring which tools are working, which can be recycled, and which new ones might be worth trying. She’s especially skilled at working with adolescents, young adults, and individuals navigating transition challenges, anxiety, depression, stress, ADHD, and ASD. She is also proudly LGBTQIA+ affirming and specializes in school-related challenges.
What drew Tabby to this work? A lifelong pull toward helping others and being a safe space for those around her. She loves being part of someone’s journey toward mental wellness and is energized by the fact that psychology is forever evolving—a field that challenges providers to never stop growing and educating themselves.
Outside of counseling, Tabby is a creative spirit who loves anything artsy—crocheting, painting, drawing, latch-hook, and more. She’s always up for trying something new if a little creativity is involved. She also enjoys reading (currently making her way through Catching Fire in the Hunger Games series), listening to “The Thoughtful Counselor” podcast, solving puzzles and sudokus, playing board games, cooking and baking new recipes, and visiting art museums. Tabby lives with her spunky 3-year-old daughter and her wonderful fiancée, who support her through every educational, professional, and personal endeavor. She’s getting married in 2026 and is thrilled to step into this new chapter with her little family.
Walking alongside others and helping them discover their own strengths is one of Tabby’s greatest joys. She believes every person deserves to feel heard, supported, and empowered—and she’s honored to be part of that process.
