SWT
Jennifer specializes in helping clients with anxiety disorders, mood disorders-depression or bipolar, PTSD or other trauma-related disorders, personality disorders, adjustment disorders, relationship struggles, co-dependency, and grief and loss. She has her Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Miami University. She is a current social worker trainee and will graduate from Indiana Wesleyan University with her Masters of Social Work in the winter of 2022. Jennifer approaches each of her clients with unique modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Radically Open-Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solutions Focused Therapy. She would be the ideal fit for clients ages 12 and up that come from various backgrounds and histories.
Jennifer has interned in the past at the Lindner Center of HOPE with the adult population in the inpatient, partial hospitalization, and residential settings. She has also acted as a Volunteer Peer Counselor at the Eve Center, helping adult women through one-on-one sessions and groups.
When she isn’t helping clients manage their unique life problems, you can find Jennifer spending quality time with her husband and their blended family of six children. Jennifer loves exercising by participating in Zumba classes and going on hikes. She enjoys attending Miami University football games, traveling, and spending downtime at home relaxing with her two dogs and six chickens.
The choice to become a therapist comes from Jennifer’s desire to connect with people and learn their stories. Jennifer believes that often our greatest struggles teach us the most about who we are at our core and what really matters to us. She would attest that walking through pain and uncertainty is not meant to be done alone and that everyone is meant to be in connection with one another.
Jennifer has had ample experience with clients who worked through anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or relationship/family issues; and had trauma in their past. With such a wide variety of experiences and specialties, Jennifer is able to meet the needs of many clients to aid in helping them through some of their toughest times.
Jennifer is passionate about helping empower people to find and create their best lives. Find out more by calling Foundations Counseling at 513-785-4895.
